OXFORD INDIVIDUAL TUITION

Header

Subjects and levels offered

GCSE and A-level

Tuition is offered in every subject, examination board, syllabus, and option. Tutors and full-time students will choose the board etc. after discussion. The individual tutorial approach means that students of any given subject are not all obliged to follow the same board and syllabus as with class teaching. Students who come to us for supplementary tuition will naturally be taught the syllabus that they are already following at their main school or college. For further details please see Tutorial System and Syllabuses.

International Baccalaureate

Tuition is offered in every subject and option.

Common Entrance

Tuition is offered in all subjects at 11+ and 13+. We pride ourselves on our thoroughly experienced and specialized tutors for this department. Tutors at these junior levels have to be just ask skilled as those who specialize in A-level and GCSE, but the teaching skills differ in certain key respects. Too often, however, tutorial colleges have tended to treat common entrance as an afterthought and have concentrated on the GCE years. We regard the juniors as of equal importance.

SATs

We offer supplementary tuition for all the key stages. As with Common Entrance, we are very well aware of the need to have staff who specialize in teaching these younger age-groups.

University level

In Oxford, we can call on a pool of very highly qualified academic tutors, and so we offer supplementary tuition at university level. We do not, obviously, offer full-time degree courses and so can have no full-time students at this level.
